Update: As at 30th of July 2019, Kester Black can no longer claim they are palm oil free. According to their manufacturer, every nail polish in the world is made with an ingredient that contains a palm oil derivative and they are investigating whether or not their nail polishes can be made without it.

It’s no secret that I’m always picking up what Kester Black is putting down, so when they let me in on a little secret collabo they were working on I was down to ride. In yet another epic team up, they’ve joined forces with leading beauty therapy school, Beauty EDU to release 3 new nail polish shades. So why is this happening, you ask. Well, it conveniently involves another sweet pairing between Beauty EDU and David Jones, who in a world first have created a state of the art campus in the middle of their Eastland store. With the opportunity to assist in expanding the use of cruelty-free cosmetics, KB got themselves all up in that and here we are. Talk about whoa!

Clay is a real dusty salmon pink that brings a hint of girliness without going full blown Barbie on your ass. Stone is an insane pale grey that almost borders on white, perfect for a classy lady like yours truly. Finish either of these shades off with Terrazzo, a black fleck polish that adds an almost mosaic/marble vibe to your nail situation. If you were wondering, I’m rocking Stone and Terrazzo right now and my nails look hot AF.

Kester Black

You know the drill with Kester Black. They’re five free which means there’s no toluene, DBP, camphor, formaldehyde and formaldehyde resin; all things I kinda feel like you don’t want on your person. Always Australian made, always vegan and come with Choose Cruelty Free, Cruelty Free International and Vegan Society accreditations, so you know they’re not kidding around when it comes to being chill to our animal pals.

The thing I love about this new trio is the ability to mix and match to achieve a super unique result without having to fiddle around with tricky and time consuming nail art. I’m almost tempted to throw them all on my nails and see what kind of magic happens. If you want to get a hold of these super spesh shades for you or a friend (it’s nearly Christmas *wink wink*) you can only do so by shopping online at Kester Black or at the David Jones Eastland store. GO FORTH AND NAIL IT!
