I’ve never been a huge fan of tanners (unless we’re talking about Full House or ALF) but lately I decided that I wasn’t entirely chill with the fact that my arms are a good 10 shades darker than my near-translucent legs. It was convenient that the good folks at Luna Bronze got in touch to see if I wanted to try their Gradual Self Tanning Moisturiser and I was like “hell yeah!”

Luna Bronze was born after one of their co-founders was diagnosed with BCC skin cancer at a young age; a wake-up call that made her realise that sunless tanning was the only way to go. In conjunction with tanning experts, a gradual tanner that slowly builds tan while moisturising was developed.

Luna Bronze

Firstly let’s talk about one of my most favourite things about anything ever: packaging! The super sleek 200mL tube is an awesome matte black with simple, white labelling and dang it looks good! Simple and effective and not covered in coconuts, frangipanis or any other weird stuff you associate with the beach (seriously, the shopping centre near my house recently got rebranded with a shell as its logo?!?!)

So what’s inside the tube? You’ve got yourself a blend of 96% certified organic and natural ingredients ready to not only give your skin a healthy sun-kissed glow but also moisturise with the help of coconut, rose hip and jojoba oils and fight ageing with vitamins A, B and E, which are rich in antioxidants. Throw in mandarin, lemon myrtle and orange blossom essential oils and you’ve got yourself a bloody great smelling product on your hands!

More importantly, Luna Bronze actually works! Even after a few days of daily application I noticed my glaringly white legs slowly developing a natural bronze tone and for the first time in a long time, a natural balance in arm to leg skin tone was being achieved. There’s not even a hint of that “fake tan” smell most other products have, just a fresh scent that doesn’t overwhelm the senses and with daily application, your tan will stick around (you’re moisturising anyway, right?!)

In terms of value for money, I reckon I used about a tablespoon of the product to cover both legs, so at 26 bucks I think we’re looking at a bargain, you guys. And of course, Luna Bronze is also cruelty free, vegan and doesn’t contain palm oil, yay!

I know you legends love a bloody giveaway too, so head on over to my Instagram page to win a tube of your very own thanks to Luna Bronze!
