What I Learned on My (Forced) Blog Break!

Oh hello there, it’s been a while! My site crashed just after Christmas so this is the first time you’re hearing from me in 2017 – I’ve missed you guys!

While having zero access to the site was frustrating for me and all of you who couldn’t access my recipes or enjoy my humorous banter (definitely the latter, right?) it actually turned out to be a pretty dope experience for a number of reasons. This cloud had several silver linings.

You legends actually use my recipes

Like, a lot of you. I guess I always knew that you did but it was hella obvious as soon as you couldn’t get a hold of em! I got so many comments and messages across different platforms and a bunch of emails asking for individual recipes (some of the them crazy old too). Unfortunately with limited access I wasn’t able to send them on but it’s nice to feel needed, ya know?

Blog Break

I got other stuff done

While I love creating content for you guys, sometimes I focus so much on getting a reasonable amount of posts out each week that I don’t have time to get other projects underway for Like A Vegan. Being forced to take a break from blogging allowed me to really get stuck into those projects, like my YouTube channel which I’ll be launching soon and a couple of other surprises too!

Absence makes the heart grow fonder

Sometimes you don’t realise how much you hate something until you have to go back and it kills you. Luckily for me, I felt super weird about not being able to post for y’all and the minute I knew the blog was heading back online, I was psyched to get stuck into writing posts again.

Blog Break

Now that the blog is back up and running, I can’t wait to get stuck into all the hella exciting things I have planned for Like A Vegan in 2017. Make sure you’re following me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Snapchat (likeavegan) for all the updates and check out my store for 50% off my Like A Vegan Tee with the code 2017YEAH until the end of January.

2017 is going to be LIT!
