There’s so much to consider when you first adopt your little friend and one thing you’ll need to decide upon is what kind of shampoo you’ll use.
I wanted something vegan (obvs) but I didn’t really know what else to look for. That’s when Morrocco Method got in touch and asked me to trial some of their range of pet shampoo products. They’re gluten free, sulphate free, raw, vegan and paleo which makes them suitable for just about any furry friend!
The Morrocco Method 5 Elements Foam Free Dog Shampoo ($27.00) is perf for pets with skin sensitivities because it’s non-foaming and contains no harsh ingredients. What it does contain is green tea, minerals and botanicals to gently cleanse while also repelling fleas and ticks.
The main ingredient, montmorillonite clay, is a naturally forming clay that draws out impurities to leave behind a fuller coat. Plus, raw apple cider vinegar, green tea and lavender join forces to balance moisture, reduce inflammation of the skin and leave your pup looking squeaky clean.
Application of the shampoo is hella easy and Brett was happy to sit still while I massaged the formula into his skin. It may seem a bit weird at first because of the non-foaming factor, but once you get used to it you’ll be a-ok. Once I dried him off and he ran around the backyard like a madman, his coat was noticeably fluffier, he smelled cleaner and was very proud of himself and all of the compliments he was getting!
In between washes, the Volcanic Dry Powder Cat Shampoo ($27.00) is the perfect solution because it’s a dry shampoo that can be used on cats, dogs and horses. Made from bentonite clay to absorb excess oils in the skin and coat while protecting all of the oils you wanna keep! Plus it contains Amla fruit powder, oat and raspberry to seal in moisture, reduce inflammation of the skin and leave fur soft and fluffy!
If you’re looking for a natural shampoo solution for your furry legend, you might want to give Morrocco Method a try. I’m hella impressed with the products I’ve tried so far and was so lucky that Brett enjoyed his first bath enough that I think his second time around will be even easier!
