The Vegan Box

Price: From $26.95

Where to Buy: www.theveganbox.com

It seems like we’ve been waiting an eternity for a monthly vegan subscription box but the wait is finally over! The Vegan Box is here now, so we can all rest easy knowing that someone else is gathering all the best vegan products and sending them out for you to sample at a pretty reasonable price.

The legends at The Vegan Box sent me out the July box to try out and I must say, for $26.95 a month you get a pretty solid box of stuff plus you get a discount if you sign up for a 3 or 6 month subscription. Each month, the box contains a combination of vegan snacks, healthfoods, natural skincare and lifestyle products. The July box contained:

  • Tinkernicks Tinkerbar
  • Kester Black Nail Polish
  • Bananinha Bars
  • Canterbury Organics Peppermint Hot Chocolate
  • Nat Ali Bioflan Organic Pudding Mix
  • Way Better Snacks Unbeatable Blues Tortilla Chips
  • Brookfarm Power Porrij

Now, you’ve gotta admit – that’s a pretty sweet haul.

Not only are the products in The Vegan Box 100% vegan but they’re always palm-oil free too. You gluten free dudes are in luck also, you can tick a box when ordering to ensure that the products you get are 100% gluten free – bonus!

If you’re a beauty-lover, try The Vegan Beauty Box and for $49.95 bi-monthly you’ll receive a box of vegan skincare, cosmetics, haircare and body care products to try.

The Vegan Box is a great idea for those new to veganism and wanting try different products without spending a fortune, for long-term vegans wanting to keep abreast of new stuff on the market and anyone wanting to add more vegan products to their life. I reckon a 3 or 6 month subscription to The Vegan Box would be the perfect gift for any vegan in your life.

The Vegan Box is definitely something I will be considering signing up for on a regular basis. If the July box is anything to go by, I’m in for a real treat!

This looks awesome. What a great way of trying many different products without the big price tag of full sized products.
It would be cool to many feature some vegan pea protein, a sample size maybe? – i know a lot of friends who are vegan apart from their “whey proteins” that have been recommended by the gym – or who are wanting to add protein to their smoothies.. promoting a pea protein would be a great way to show people that there are alternatives to whey 🙂
Keep up the great work on the Like a Vegan website.

I’m loving the idea that I can sample new products AND specify gluten free as well. I normally miss out on everything because I’m a Celiac vegan. I would love to see vegan gluten free jerky in the boxes. That would be awesome!!

Cocobiotics coconut choc chunk bar! I tried one of those at goodness me organics (Adamstown) and oh my, what a treat!
Hoping to get subscribed to the vegan box in time for the September edition as a birthday present from my mum, but as a long term vegan (around 6 years now..) I often get out of touch with what’s new in the vegan world and don’t have the time to seek out all the new goodies myself so I would absolutely treasure a vegan prize pack to get me back in tune with the wonderful world of vegan goods!

You should include mixed veggie chips because there’s no reason they can’t be vegan yet none of the one’s sold near where I live are! I love veggies and I love chips and I want to sample them!

I have been meaning to try out a vegan box, but haven’t gotten around to it. I would love to see something like vegan meringue…just because it’s something I have not had since going vegan – one of those mysteries to recreate.

I’ve been a vegetarian since I was about 10 but am quite new to veganism – my hubby has recently converted me – so I’m still exploring the goodies out there. I’d love to see some long-life vegan cheese in there that I could whip out of my handbag when the hunger pangs hit.

A Vegan bacon equivalent!! And not a lame smokey product that’s nothing at all like bacon, something that’s so close it feels a crime to be devouring it.

I’d love to try some of the highly-touted vegan cheeses. Given issues with refrigeration though, I’d opt for some lip balms. Hurraw is my favourite, and I’d love an excuse to test some different flavours!!
