It’s always refreshing to see new vegan products become readily available in Australia and I was recently approached by Olivella to try out their skincare range. With the colder weather setting in, my skin is begging for a dose of hydration so naturally jumped at the chance to try these products and pass my thoughts onto you.
If you hadn’t already guessed, Olivella products are made from virgin olive oil, which boasts many benefits for the skin and has been used in skincare for centuries. The Olivella range has everything from bar soaps and haircare to baby products, all of which are available at an affordable price.
Here’s the skinny on Olivella products:
- Made in Italy from 100% virgin olive oil
- Natural anti-ageing properties
- Natural antioxidants
- Natural ingredients
- Free of sodium laureth sulphate (SLS/SLES)
- Paraben free
- Dermatologically tested
- Eco-friendly
- Gluten Free
- Vegan and Cruelty Free
Let’s start with the face stuff. I’m 26 so starting to use anti-ageing products as a preventative measure rather than reducing signs of ageing that are already there. I’ve been looking for an awesome cleansing wipe for a long time now and Olivella’s Daily Cleansing Tissues (AUD$$7.95) are where it’s at! Just swipe over the skin for awesome makeup removal and a boost of hydration. Olivella’s Contour Eye Cream (AUD $19.95) was the second stand out product for me in this category. With each application, the skin around my eyes felt fresher and firmer. Since I’ve only been using the product for a short time, I can’t say if it has actually prevented wrinkles but only time will tell! Same goes for the Anti-Wrinkle Cream (AUD $19.95), which is suitable for sensative skin and uses beech buds and bio-technologic originated hyaluronic acid to fight cutaneous ageing. The Nourishment Cream (AUD $16.95) is where it’s at if you want moisture boost from a light, yet rich cream while the Olivella Moisturiser is an oil based product including orange oil, lavender oil and ylang ylang to help the skin maintain its natural humidity.
The Face and Body Bar ($3.65) is for everyday skincare and comes in a fragrance free version as well. I am usually pretty wary of using facial bars but this one was surprisingly good and didn’t leave a soapy residue on my skin. The Face & Body Soap (AUD $9.95) is great if you want just one product for face and body and leaves the skin fresh and clear. If it’s a bubble bath you’re after, grab the Bath & Shower Gel (AUD $9.95) for a generous lather. Both products also come in different fragrances like apricot and orange.
Olivella make haircare too! The Olive Shampoo (AUD $7.95) is suitable for normal, dry or colour treated hair and removes dirt while leaving hair shiny. I was worried due to the oil in the product that it would leave my hair really greasy but this wasn’t the case at all. Follow up with The Olive Conditioner (AUD $7.95) for hydration that restores dry and damaged hair.
To take care of the body, the Body Cream (AUD $11.95) really sinks into the skin to leave it feeling nice and silky smooth. For added moisture on the hands, the Hand Cream (AUD $9.95) also absorbs easily while relieving skin of the damage left by the cold winter air.
Overall, I think the Olivella range is a great option for effective skincare that doesn’t break the bank. I’ll definitely be buying the Daily Cleansing Tissues and Eye Cream to continue the regime and to see if it really does prevent wrinkles around the eyes. I definitely would consider buying other products as well.

I want to win ’cause I’m a stressed out 33 year old and it’s starting to show on my face!!
I would love to win this pack. Being a stay at home, 42 year old, mother of three children is challenging, to say the least. Somehow I never quite have time to pamper myself. A nourishing skin care regime might just be the ticket. 🙂
My sister-in-law deserves this pack as she is 7 months pregnant and needs some pampering. Gotta look after my niece’s mummy 🙂
Currently recovering from Adrenal Fatigue and mothers day is approaching fast. This would be an amazing gift to me and Olivella my body head to toe. I love brands that are not mass produced because the brand behind them have quality and ingredients in their sights and put profits second. I love to fill alternative brands and support smaller brands.
Reading other people’s entries, I don’t deserve to win this as much as some of the others. But I’m just super happy to have found out about this on the beginnings of my vegan journey. I’d love to win it as the products sound amazing and I haven’t been buying “supermarket” stuff for the last 4-6 months anyway, but money is tight for myself being a uni student, so a pack like this would go a long way 🙂
I’m someone who is currently trying to find alternatives for skin care and cosmetics as a health (no parabens and harsh chemicals) and and environmentally conscious decision while also not “breaking the bank” (still a poor student). I think trying this out would really help me fully convert to using vegan products.
This is really such a good news! I so love all products that are naturally produced.
Ohhh, I knew that Olive Oil was good for you to eat but I had no idea that it would be good for your skin too. Would love to try it out and see if it makes my skin look as lovely as the skin that Italian women have.(Would sure beat the dry wrinkly skin I currently have!)
Oooh great review! I’d love to win this prize because a) it’s coming into winter and my skin could use all the help it can get, b) I’m pregnant and again, skin could use all the help it could get (what glow?!) and c) I’m chasing after a toddler while struck with severe morning sickness too and I could do with a little pampering between looking after the husband, the toddler, the bun and work stuff! x
My son won’t use anything other than natural products since his father died of Cancer, so I’m desperately trying to find good products that are kind to the pockets.
This would make a great gift for my mother. Thank you for the giveaway.
The fact that they are all natural ingredients appeals to me very much. I deserve it because I am 58 & in need of some tlc.
My dry leathery skin is crying out for some Olivella goodness!
I would love to win this because I’m struggling to find products that agree with my temperamental skin! My face is slowly resembling Mount Vesuvius in Naples and although I love Italy and its culinary impact…it ain’t cute.
I would love to win this so that I can share with my Mum, who is so kind, thoughtful and ring s me everyday just to see how I am.
What can I say. Turning fifty, that says it all 🙂
I’ve always know that virgin olive oil was good for the skin and body, but to actually have the opportunity to sample a product containing it and using it on the skin sounds really exciting, and I would love to be chosen to do so. In 18days I am ‘officially’ old – 65 but I take good care of my skin with what I eat and what I use on it, and I think that I am blessed. I am always looking for a natural product to keep my skin looking as young as possible
Skincare has never really been a priority to me, and now it’s starting to show so I need cost effective natural skincare to turn back the clock!
Looking after your skin is one of the best things you can do for yourself. I’m a natural skincare addict always trying to teach my family and friends to follow the same path. I’d love this prize, so would my skin. 🙂
On second thoughts, I’d love to win this to pass onto my mum who is such an amazing woman, and I know everyone thinks that about their own mum, but mine just turned 50, is going through a divorce after 30 odd years of being committed to just one man, and now has been practically thrown out and has to find her own way in this big world. She has some great people with a lot of strength behind her but something like this would help her self-esteem tenfold, and I’d love to be able to share and teach her about my vegan journey in hopes to encourage another animal-lover into the world.
My skin needs a loving hit, these products would be it! Pampering my neglected skin without the cruelty means a lot to me!
My skin has been getting so neglected after having my baby boy last year could def use a good treat for myself
I’m always on the lookout for new products to use on my skin. I’m in my early 50s and time is my enemy. I love natural products that work.
Hitting my mid 40’s now and due to a illness that keeps me in hospital off and on with heavy medicate, i have found that it has taken its toll on my skin. Especially my face, where i am really showing my age. i Have started using anti-aging products and all they do is clog my pores and does nothing to reduce my wrinkles around my eyes (not currently using natural based products). Would love to try your products as i am sure they would be clearly more gentle on my skin and more beneficial in more ways than one.
I don’t deserve this wonderful Olivella prize any more than anyone else but being a natural skin and hair care addict I sure would love it. Am always keen to try new products in my search for better results.
I love supporting Aussie Vegan products! I’ve just given birth to my first bubba and want to show her from day dot that there are better ways of living, giving and to be kind in all areas of life!
X
I’m a PhD student at the Animal Welfare Science Centre at the University of Melbourne. So I’m a very hard working, underpaid, under appreciated, vegan, animal lover that has to see some horrible things in order to make things better. I need pampering once in a while 🙂
As a mother of 2 and a struggling artist unfortunately spending money on skin care is very low on the priority list, but at nearly 37 I am in need of hydration, and who doesn’t love cruelty free – freebies
I love sampling new vegan products! Although I use all natural products these days…I still LOVE makeup and skincare. I’m always on the search for new additions to my kit/regimen!
My daughter has just turned 13 and really want this for her to get her started on the best path for her skin knowing it will only enhance her skin and no animal has been harmed in making an amazing product!
I don’t deserve this more than anyone else, everyone has their own unique reasons. The reason which why I would love to win this prize pack is after 17 years of being a vegetarian I want to adopt a more vegan approach to my home and beauty products. Judging by your review Olivella seems like a good quality product and being a vegan range it would take out the guesswork when shopping!
To feel good! Natural products to keep my skin healthy make me feel great!
i have been so concerned for years about what goes into my body i’d never stopped to think about the chemicals i put on it – feeling very foolish
Love vegan skin care but can rarely afford it! If I won I would share with all the women in my family to show them how beautiful natural skincare can be and to persuade them to start purchasing cruelty free! One person at a time for a better world!
I am starting my own 12 week challange and instead of food related treats…wouldnt it be nice to have treats for my skin..
… olive oil, what’s not to love … soooo need some new skincare!
for my mum as she deserves the best for her birthday
A busy Mum deserves some natural products for the natural me 🙂
My mum deserves to win for teaching me great skincare lessons! Thanks for the chance!
Work stress, So I dream… Of some pampering & relaxing!!
I’m a full time working mother of four, and it’s really starting to show in my face, this would be absolute HEAVEN to win!
I would love to win because I’ve been working hard at minimising my expenditure of late, and this would be a lovely treat.
