Update: As at 30th of July 2019, Kester Black can no longer claim they are palm oil free. According to their manufacturer, every nail polish in the world is made with an ingredient that contains a palm oil derivative and they are investigating whether or not their nail polishes can be made without it.
I bloody love it when a Kester Black package arrives on my doorstep and lemme tell you guys, this is the best one yet! Kester Black and Trophy Wife are back at it again with the collabs, joining forces to create the Birthday Suit collection; six nude shades that’ll get you in the mood to strip down and treat yo’self.
This collection has me shook because I’m having a major love affair with nude shades at the minute. Plus, with a spectrum of neutral shades from deep to light, there’s finally a vegan brand providing a nude polish for just about everyone!
Brazilian is a deep DEEP brown, perfect against darker skin but it also looks dope against all skin tones (that goes for the whole collection, tbh). As we move through the collection, there’s the creamy, milk chocolatey brown of Spray Tan (like a good one, not an orange one) followed by Solarium which is a deliciously creamy beige. Towards the lighter end of the spectrum we’re looking at Bronzer, which is probably the shade you’d traditionally associate with nude, while lighter peeps are gonna match nicely with the pale and pinkish Bare and even pinker In The Buff. All the colours of the skin tone rainbow wrapped up in one bloody beautiful collection.
Why do I love nude shades so much? I, for one, can rarely be effed changing up my nail colour on the reg just so it doesn’t clash with my outfit. A little stash of neutral polishes and your problem is solved with a chic, natural look that compliments just about any ensemble you’re working with.
And if that’s not enough to get you stripping down, how about the fact Kester Black polishes are always Five-Free vegan, cruelty-free and made using a sustainable production method which cuts down on waste. Oh, and they’re Australian made too.
Get ready to show some skin, fam.
Love the variety of nudes – awesome work from Kester Black!
I know, right?! I can’t get enough of them!
