This Lip Locker, we’re talking liquid lipstick formulas, which have been having a moment for the past few years. Usually long-wearing and highly pigmented, liquid lipsticks are a great option for those occasions where you want maximum impact with minimum re-application. Here’s a roundup of some of my faves. Kester Black is an Australian, women-owned, 100% vegan and cruelty-free cosmetics brand, primarily focused around nail products but this lipstick formulation is outta sight!
It’s definitely on the pricier side for most liquid lipsticks I’ve encountered (that aren’t luxury brands, of course) but a great option if you’re looking to support a small business and want a top quality product to boot.
Like most liquid lipsticks, it’s a matte formula and it is quite dry, so be sure to prep your lips accordingly!
Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip in Slide (shade no longer available) | $8.00 USD | Buy Here
Unlike the other liquid lipsticks in this list, the Colourpop Ultra Blotted Lip formula isn’t at all drying and is so lightweight, it’s like you’re wearing nothing at all!
Of course, this comes at a price, as you’ll have to reapply more regularly and the formula isn’t as pigmented, but I have a tonne of these on stand by because they’re my absolute fave!

I feel like Lime Crime kinda wrote the book on liquid lipsticks with their Velvetines, right?
I think this was one of the first matte liquid lip formulas I tried and it’s a classic for a reason. Long wearing, pigmented AF and a premo velvety finish on the lips.
A little drying but that’s the price you pay for such a long wearing formula.
