Just as COVID-19 isolation started to set in, Strandatory reached out to see if I was interested in taking their vegan-certified and eco-friendly Natural Dry Shampoo for a spin. With it being super hard to find a reliable and vegan dry shampoo, I of course said yes, but little did I know that this product would become the pillar of my iso-haircare routine.
Strandatory sent me their Natural Dry Shampoo in a few colours; Light Blonde, Blonde and Chestnut (there’s also Brunette and Auburn) and the packaging is perfect for chucking in your bag (when you can eventually go somewhere), while the applicator sponge makes it so easy to apply without shrouding you in a cloud of powder.
I’ve found that the formula itself is quite fine and not at all gritty, so you’re not picking powdering chunks out of your hair throughout the day. I also like that it settles into the roots without a lot of effort, which makes it a quick and easy option, especially for a non-aerosol dry shampoo.
At first glance, the price tag might seem a little steep but I’ve been using this stuff a few times a week for the past couple of months and I have barely made a dent so I reckon it’s going to last me quite a while, making the price a worthwhile investment, if you ask me.
The Strandatory Natural Dry Shampoo has become part of my iso-hair survival duo, the other half being a selection of headbands to distract the other Zoom-meeting attendees from my increasingly wild regrowth. Thanks to these two, my original plan of gradually lowering the camera to cut off the top of my head hasn’t been necessary… yet!
