It’s always so much fun when new cruelty-free cosmetic products hit the market and when I spotted Pressplay on Instagram last year, I had my fingers and toes crossed that their products would be vegan. The good news? A few are. The bad news? Not all of them (but I’m hopeful that they will be in the future). We’ll get into the vegan products later.
The concept of Pressplay is what sets this brand apart: a capsule that houses all of your makeup essentials to make traveling easy and stylish af. The Capsule is $39.00AUD and is a hella chic housing for all of your cosmetic faves. It comes in black and gold or white and gold and is surprisingly lightweight (it’s also small enough to fit in one hand.)
Now, what to fill it with?! At the moment, only the Powders and Face Paints are vegan but there are plenty of shades to choose from! The Leonardo Translucent Powder ($29.00AUD) is the perf powder to fill its special spot in the Capsule, to save me when my face has given me a little too much permission to shine.
The Face Paints ($26.00AUD) are an amazing multi-purpose product that can be used as lip colour, blush and/or contour. The product applies super easily to the skin, with enough time to blend before drying (hence why it’s multi-purpose!)
All in all, the Pressplay Capsule is an incredibly cool design that fits perfectly into an age where so many people are on the go. I have my fingers crossed that more products will be made vegan soon so that I can make the most of my Capsule!
